The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. JOB SUMMARY The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: - Assistance to Head of Sales & Marketing with execution with all required duties within the marketing spectrum. - Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. - Develop marketing materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials, maps, menus etc.) for promotional events, various offers, and campaigns etc. for all segments. - Prepare various marketing related materials and reports using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software. - Complete, update & make changes to relevant marketing channels and systems - Marriott.com content (via Product Catalogue, CHUB, MI Studio, Efast, MDS Client Community, etc.), OTA Content (via respective extranet sites) and Third-Party and Group Sites (via respective content management systems). - Sourcing and analyzing new marketing opportunities across all distribution platforms and mediums. Manages and executes photography property shots & photography distribution including search photos, pre-arrival photos, and photo gallery management and the execution of relevant photography shoots. Monitor media coverage and other external factors to identify potential or actual problem areas and opportunities. - Compilation of Media related documents. - Coordinate on-property visits from media, influencers, and other public produced stories, including reservations, amenities, special requests, and dining. - Effectively manage multiple projects and coordinate campaigns via efforts such as offer submissions, creative assets, landing page creation and email marketing. - Relay a consistent marketing message reflective of Marriott International, Loyalty and Brand strategic direction and guidelines. - Ensure marketing communications support regional, market, and hotel business objectives and goals. - Ensure adherence to Corporate Advertising and Marketing Communications standards, brand standards, and format guidelines. - Ensure Digital Media tagging, creative, and deployment are accurate and shared with team. - Ensure marketing information provided to the properties is accurate, complete, timely, and enables hotels to meet or exceed guest expectations. - Develop strong working relationships with outside vendors to ensure quality, cost effective creative executions. - Conducts regular audits of Marriott.com and third-party Websites as requested to verify the property is optimized for high quality custom images, content, links, and accurate translations. - Support Marketing efforts including copywriting, image sourcing, landing page creation, and emails. - Leads repositioning efforts in partnership with Head of Sales & Marketing, GM, and hotel executive team. - Serves as brand guardian / liaison, verifying all marketing reflects brand voice. - Leads and/or partners with Hotel Operations to conceptualize/execute property-level campaigns and activations. Strategic pull-through of continent and brand promotions and campaigns. - Identifies outlet marketing opportunities on third party and local partner sites - managing content on all these sites. - Sets overarching social media strategy, outlining goals and target segments. Working with external supplier in Social Media requirements along with rich content and photography. - Assists in reviewing social media content calendars and collecting local area and property events. - Full coordination and execution of sales & marketing events with pre, post and during event required activities. - Fully coordinate and execute marketing distribution across all market segments and channels. Full knowledge and execution of Brand Standard Audit requirements as per the set-out standards. JOB REQUIREMENTS - One year's prior and recent experience in a Protea Hotel would be beneficial. - 2 years of experience in Marketing - Preferred. - Marketing Qualification would be an advantage. - Understanding of market segments and plans formulated per segment. - Must be fully proficient in written and spoken English. - Excellent communication skills, including writing skills, with great attention to detail. - Impeccable proofreading skills and outstanding grammar. - Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel. - Additional Marketing systems knowledge is an advantage. - Ability to handle many diverse projects simultaneously. - Knowledge of photography, production, and print execution. - Detail-oriented, creative, energetic, takes initiative. - Able to work effectively independently or, at times, as part of a team. - Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently demonstrate a high level of organizational skills. - Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely manner. - Excellent telephone manner. - Adaptable to change. - Be self-motivated and have a pleasant disposition. - Be committed to the precise & thorough following of marketing processes & procedures. - Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. TEAM player with a positive attitude.
