Marketing Manager - Southern Suburbs - Cape Town City Centre

Our Client based in the Southern Suburbs

The right person will improve brand awareness for the golf club, will help attract more visitors and will provide an efficient communication channel for the homeowners and members alike.

Own transport is essential to attend Club functions in the evening and over week-ends.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for brand management, improving on the brand image/identity as well as managing the corporate identity.
  • Being available and present at Golf Club events after hours and on weekends.
  • Getting to know and liasing with members as well as with visitors both local and international.
  • Developing and driving a marketing strategy aimed at all target markets.
  • Co-ordinating both internal and external marketing.
  • Maintain and uplift the PR image of the club to clients internally and externally.
  • Create and publicise marketing material aligned with the marketing plan.
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications.
  • Monthly reporting on guest feedback submitted through Google and social media analytics with recommendations for improvement.
  • Engage in promotional activities.
  • Writing and proof reading of weekly, monthly and ad-hoc newsletters.
  • Keeping the website current and back-end editing.
  • Updating of databases and using CRM systems such as Mailchimp and WhatsApp.
  • Management of campaigns on media channels such as the Website, WhatsApp, Instagram, Linkedin and any other trending social media platforms.
  • Able to deliver presentations.
  • Collateral/Brochure and Sign Creation including graphic design.
  • Maintain effective internal communications making sure all relevant departments are kept informed of marketing objectives and any other marketing related tasks as may required.
  • Customer feedback to be responded to within 24 hours or escalated to the relevant department head.
  • Approving of branding for events.
  • Align branding and marketing with other departments.
  • Attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • 3+ years' experience in a marketing management role.
  • Ability to multi-task
