A well-established company based outside of New Castle, Kwa-Zulu Natal is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Engineer to oversee the maintenance, blow Moulding, and production departments, utilities, and building projects while improving plant efficiency and increasing production output. Responsibilities: Maintenance Oversight: Supervise and manage the maintenance department to ensure all equipment is running efficiently and safely. Implement and monitor preventative maintenance schedules. Blow Moulding Operations: Oversee blow moulding processes to ensure the highest quality standards and efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in the blow moulding process. Production Management: Lead the production team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. Continuously analyze production processes and implement improvements to increase output and efficiency. Utilities Management: Oversee the management of plant utilities, ensuring optimal operation and cost-efficiency. Implement energy-saving initiatives and monitor their effectiveness. Building Projects: Manage and coordinate building projects within the plant, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. Liaise with contractors and suppliers as needed. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act). Promote a culture of safety within the plant and conduct regular safety audits. CMMS Implementation: Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track and optimize maintenance activities. Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Process Engineering. 5-10 years of experience working as an engineer in a FMCG or beverage industry. Strong working knowledge of the OHS Act. Proficiency in using CMMS tools. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
