A Leader in the access control automation industry, is looking for a motivated, hands-on engineer to join their development team. They offer a multidisciplinary work environment where they develop all aspects of their products including firmware, electronics, mechanics and plastics. They build their products predominantly for the Southern-African market in the factory in Cape Town. Yet, as part of the group of companies, they are also truly global, selling products in over 100 countries. They are looking for a qualified engineer to take ownership of the mechanical aspects of new and existing products. Experience in mechanical design (SolidWorks preferable) FEA experience (SolidWorks preferable) Keen interest in designing products and solutions for manufacturing Hands-on abilities Positive, innovative attitude Bonus skills: Worm and wheel geartrain design Computer aided machining 3D printing Basic programming experience (C, Python) B.Tech/B.Sc Eng/B.Eng or equivalent required)
