Monitor, analyze and investigate the technical performance of the plant chemical process. Monitor plant metal accounting analytical results and when required coordinate problem solving and decision-making actions. Compare available data (factual information) with process control standards and investigate possible changes. Experiment with different reagents and chemicals to seek more cost effective and/or efficient methods. Coordinate research and development work to seek improved process methods to produce a quality product. Establish, build-up and maintain a healthy relationship with clients and customers. Improvement to plant operating efficiency. Identify or respond to requests to develop training manuals. Provide solutions to process and metallurgical problems. B.Sc. / BTECH Degree Chemical Engineering /Extraction Metallurgy. 5 years' experience in a similar position and work environment of which 2 years should have been on middle management level. Computer Literate in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Visio. Floatation experience. Valid Code B/Eb driver's licence. Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Medical Fitness.
