We are currently seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team and support our manufacturing sites in maintaining and optimizing machinery and equipment. Job Purpose: As a Millwright, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability and performance of our production machinery. Your responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, upgrading, and fabricating equipment to improve uptime and meet production targets. Perform maintenance tasks to uphold plant availability and achieve production yields. Quickly assess and repair machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime. Conduct alterations, modifications, and installations to ensure continuous operation. Utilize knowledge of PLC, variable speed drives, AC & DC motors, and transformers. Use mechanical and electrical measuring equipment and ensure maintenance. Execute emergency procedures to restore power promptly. Perform maintenance activities including inspections and housekeeping. Adhere to safety standards to minimize risks. Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12. Trade Test Certificate – Millwright. N4. 3 to 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment. Specific industry experience: 3 years in manufacturing. Skills & Behaviours: Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills. Effective teamwork and adherence to procedures. Analytical mind-set with the ability to examine and interpret data. Proactive approach to task management and goal pursuit. Willingness to embrace change and explore new possibilities.
