Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients The senior geared motor assemblers will be required to assembly any one of the following types of gearboxes according to the companies QCP's and Assembly Routings Assembly of C, A & F units from sub-assemblies and related components, size 70 - 90 Assembly of Transmittal units from assemblies and related components, size 3 00 to 3.21 Assembly of combined Transmittal C. A. F. worm drive unis & HDOLHOP Assembly of HDO and HDP gearboxes Assembly and set up input torque protection devices Final fitment of ancillary items Assisting with stock takes when required Maintaining the correct level of gearbox shim stock Requirements Suitable academic qualification and where applicable technical qualifications as defined Trade test (fitter and turner or equivalent) Certification as a Basic geared motor assembler Working experience in an environment which understands the importance of a good work ethics and the importance of quality Access to transport Good organizational skills and the ability to multi task The ability of interface well with people, co-workers and management An understanding of and passion for customer service The ability to work in a pressurised environment Willing to go the extra mile Good communication skills, both verbal and written Able to read engineering drawings Able to read engineering measurement equipment A valid driving-, forklift and crane license will be favourable Knowledge of wet spray painting will be advantageous Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications will be advantageous Strong analytical and problem solving skills SAP experience or similar will be advantageous Previous supervisory experience will be an added advantage Previous HD gearbox assembly crucial
