R40 000 pm | Durban | Permanent | On-site DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to: Performance Management and Optimization: Develop and implement performance management frameworks to enhance operational efficiency. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance. Identify performance gaps and develop action plans to address them. Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations across container depot, warehousing, rail, truck transport, and bulk commodity Ensure optimal utilization of resources and manage capacity planning. Implement strategies to improve service delivery and operational excellence. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans for operational improvement. Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Drive initiatives to enhance competitiveness and market positioning. Technology Integration: Identify and implement technology solutions to streamline and automate logistics processes. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of technology into operations. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the logistics industry. REQUIREMENTS: We invite applications from candidates who meet the following minimum criteria: Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or performance management (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP). Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations, with a focus on performance management. Required Skills: Experience with logistics technology solutions and platforms. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in performance management tools and methodologies. Strong leadership and team management skills.
