Transport Operations ControllerWe are looking for an experienced Transport Operations Controller. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver good customer service in a friendly, enthusiastic manner. The Operations controller will be the first point of contact for client requests, all container collections and deliveries. The ideal candidate will have an excellent communication and organizational skills.Principal Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:OPERATIONS : Receives transport order from the customer and ensures all relevant information is received Assist in drafting weekly delivery planning based on clients requirements Arrange deliveries of containers to clients depots/warehouse Ensure timely deliveries and collections of clients containers Prepare and provide third party (subcontractors) transporters with DROs when instructed to outsource Make TPT Port bookings for collection of containers (checked every 2 hours on Navis for bookings that become available for collection from the port) Ensure carrier depots is identified for the empty turn in on DRO Ensure free days are allocated to customer; captured to ensure turn in within free daysDROGON (internal container tracking system) Once the vessel starts working, DRO packs allocated to drivers based on container specs (depending on Trailer used, weight, etc) The driver doc pack: Customer DRO, empty turn in and Customer POD goes with the driver to the port and to customer for signage Any allocation / collection/urgent empty collection / hot delivery are sent to the driver through Drogon system for the driver to accept and proceed with instruction issued.Communication (feedback and follow ups) Regular feedback to clients regarding ETAs of vessels and containers Follow ups regarding status updates for vessels and containers Ensure the timely and accurate resolution of escalated issues Ensure professional and effective customer service The successful applicant will have the following: Matric or equivalent - required 1-2 years in similar role and industry - required Experience with an ERP or transport industry system - advantage Intermediate MS Office Package skills, specifically Excel - advantageIf you meet the necessary requirements and believe that you can fulfil this role, do not hesitate to APPLY.
