Our client based in Johannesburg is looking for an IS Operations Manager to join their dynamic team of professionals. You will develop and manage the strategy and operating model for the IS Operations function that supports the growth and development of the business through the provision of a winning and fit for purpose Information Technology framework and infrastructure, supported by the necessary policies and procedures that align to the Group Information Technology Risk Policy. You will oversee the development and management of the Cyber Security strategy within the organization and ensure the establishment of related preventative controls, solutions and programs to manage and prevent Cyber Security Risks that are supported by the necessary policies and procedures that align to the Group IT Security Risk Policy. Develop, plan for, implement and take accountability for the strategy and operating model of the IT Operations and Security department, partnering with the CIO in response to the business model and strategy. Define the long term business value chain for the IT division and ensure that this value chain is aligned and integrated. Manage the IS Budget, IS operating plan, related projects and resource allocation for the Operations and Security department, including prioritization and staff deployment based on changing priorities. Ensure that every critical application has a technology roadmap, to maintain related hardware and software and reduce operational risk from out of support infrastructure in collaboration with architecture. Manage IT infrastructure by overseeing servers, networks, storage, and other IT infrastructure components to ensure uptime, performance and scalability. Relevant degree or other qualification in Information Technology or Systems. 8 – 10 years experience in leading an Information Technology team in the design, development and maintenance of technology solutions. Exposure, knowledge and experience of InfoSec or IT Security audits with experience within the financial services industry. Knowledge of COBIT and ITIL is essential. Salary Negotiable
