Job description: Management of all incoming products from mines via Rail and road at designated stockpiles/Port Daily stocks reporting Managing of casuals/general workers per site Managing Sampling and quality of coal stockpiles with appointed labs. Assisting on transporters/mining sites and minimize standing time(booking of trucks and queries) Ops Manager Roles & Responsibilities Must have target driven approach to meet shipment deadlines. Ensuring of all shipments are loaded/performed in best possible time. Ensuring all the documentations are submitted to relevant stakeholders in best possible time. Travel to mines, siding when needed. Should have significant experience in the financial aspects of operations such as cost control, budgeting and return on investment. Experience in Richards Bay port would be an advantage. Management skills to manage middle and Junior level staff and coaching, mentoring, and managing employees from a wide variety of cultures. KPI reporting and presentation Employees, included below HR, performance and employee relations management of reportable employees. Ensure disciplinary measures are actioned when required, included above Relationship and negotiating skills to manage clients, vendors, and officials. Should be able to execute commercial contracts/commitments signed up with clients and vendors timeously. Maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients. Minimum Requirements Degree in Operations/Logistics management Minimum 5 years of experience in operations. Experience of road, Rail transport industry. Experience of Bulk and containerized shipping. Valid driver's license Excellent Excel skills and MS Office skills required (including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) Willing to work after hours as and when the job requires. Market Related
