PACKHOUSE MANAGER - Piketberg
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Packaging planning and scheduling
- Optimisation of operational efficiencies
- Packaging schedules and planning and distribution thereof to key personnel
- Development and Implementation of company policies and principles
- Ensuring high standards of health and safety practices
- Budget management (packaging, labour, marketing)
- Management of audits
- Management of costs/controls
- Compliance to quality assurance standards
- Optimal pack-out percentages
- Quality control and food safety
- Team building, motivation, and management
- Time and production management
- Matric
- A tertiary qualification will be advantageous
- 5+ years experience in similar role in a citrus and/or table grape industry
- Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Good knowledge of food safety & HACCP
- Good mechanical understanding
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritise
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Fully bilingual
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and become involved
