Reference: PTA000265-CDW-1 Jetour SA is hiring for a Parts Import Controller, full time in Office (Midrand) Job Summary: The Parts Import and Planning Specialist is responsible for managing the importation and inventory planning of automotive parts. This role ensures that parts are available to meet production schedules and customer demands while optimizing inventory levels and costs. Key Responsibilities: Import Management: Coordinate and manage the importation process of automotive parts from international suppliers. Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and import documentation requirements. Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to facilitate smooth import operations. Inventory Planning: Develop and maintain inventory planning models to ensure optimal stock levels. Monitor inventory levels and adjust order quantities to meet production and customer demand. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize costs and delivery schedules. Logistics Coordination: Work closely with the logistics team to manage the transportation and storage of imported parts. Optimize logistics processes to reduce lead times and costs. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze inventory and sales data to identify trends and forecast future demand. Prepare and present reports on inventory status, import activities, and supply chain performance. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including health and safety standards. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Preferred but not a pre- requisite. Experience in import/export operations and inventory planning of parts in the automotive industry. Strong understanding of customs regulations and international trade laws. Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Work Environment: Office-based with occasional visits to warehouses and production facilities.
