Responsibilities Processing and reconciliation of cashbook and bank statements on a daily basis Reconcile accounts (bank, debtors and creditors), processing of bank account on a daily basis and work with large volumes of transactions Assist in any ad-hoc requirements Processing and posting of Journals Capturing of expense invoices Creditors reconciliations and creditor queries Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable as well as accounts receivable principle Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts data Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with legislative and financial policies and procedures Prepare and maintain various reports Maintain accurate ageing reports Petty cash reconciliation and maintenance Processing of the month end inventory journal in Pastel Calculation of the weekly clocking data Ensure that the weekly clocking data is reviewed/authorized and sent through timeously for processing purposes Processing of daily and weekly Cash Handling Transaction orders General office administration duties including filing, safeguarding and archiving of company records Assist with internal and external auditors Loading of payments Requirements Grade 12, and relevant Accounting Diploma is preferred Completed SAIPA articles would be beneficial Must Have 5 – 8 years Bookkeeping experience Must Have Sage Pastel Partner experience – minimum 4 years Must have own vehicle and valid Driver’s license Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans MS Office – Advanced Excel is Essential Ability to work under pressure Must be able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels High accuracy and concentration, eye for detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to effectively manage time and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously SA citizens only
