Our client is seeking a Pattern Maker (Lectra Graded) to join their team, based in Durban.

Minimum Requirements:-

Duties:-

Responsible for completion of the master production pattern for various size ranges and design silhouettes
Responsible to create basic blocks for all fabric types in various silhouettes
Create patterns from design sketch on a computer (via manipulation of blocks or adjustment of the existing pattern) to achieve the desired style and correct fit
Ensure that each pattern is developed within the set standards of size, construction methods and pattern making quality standards
Check each pattern for accuracy throughout the process and quality of each pattern
Assess garments once made up from a pattern for quality of workmanship and fit
Be able to advise the factory of alternative construction methods and pattern engineering to obtain a better fit
Work with internal teams to be able to develop or send block patterns to suppliers to base new styling and fit on
Be able to build and maintain a library of patterns in computer from suppliers to ensure their pattern is according to fabric reaction and is correct at PPS stage
Meeting with designers to review the final product
Tweaking the pattern and filing the design
