Payroll Administrator - Johannesburg

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Matric
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Payroll Administrator
  • Sage 300 payroll experience essential
  • Construction industry experience highly preferred
  • Ability to perform under pressure as there is high volume processing required
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain data integrity
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Protection of confidential information
  • Bookkeeping experience an advantage
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Processing Payroll
  • Loading of new employees
  • Preparation of payroll input files
  • The capture and processing of all permanent and temporary amendments
  • Investigation of any/all discrepancies by checking payroll against previous month
  • Capturing of terminations and transfers
  • Calculation and processing of manual payments when required
  • Administrative Duties
  • Maintenance and update of personnel files
  • Print and distribute payslips if/when required
  • Ad hoc payroll related duties when required
  • Ensure filing and scanning is up to date
  • Assist employees with any payroll related queries
  • Process third party payments
  • General ledger reconciliation
  • Assist fellow team members if/where necessary
