Payroll Administrator - Johannesburg

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Full payroll function
  • Application for Tax Directives
  • Completing Statutory returns and handling of statutory payments
  • Completing of IRP 501 recons and year-end on Easyfile
  • Dealing with staff queries
  • Garnishees & maintenance Orders
  • Handling administration of medical aid, provident and funeral funds
  • Responsible for capturing employee data in respect of engagements, terminations, transfers, and promotions
  • Reconciliations of medical aid, provident and other third- party payments
  • Importing data
  • Checking payroll variances
  • Preparing payroll files for finance and producing reports for month-end
  • Filing & Scanning

Education Requirements:

  • Completed Matric (Grade 12)
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or payroll preferred

Job Requirements and Skills:
  • 4 to 5 years' experience in a Senior Payroll Administrator position essential
  • Sage 300 People working knowledge ESSENTIAL
  • Strong understanding of statutory payments and returns
  • Payroll accounting and reporting to finance experience essential
  • Proficient in MS packages
  • Deadline driven
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Team player
