Payroll Administrator - Polokwane

Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage payroll for employees using the VIP Payroll System
  • Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, and other payroll-related expenses
  • Prepare and distribute pay checks to employees on time
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and ensure data integrity
  • Handle payroll queries and resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Generate payroll reports as required by management
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and best practices
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator, preferably with VIP Payroll System experience
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labour laws
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in using payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred)
  • Certification in payroll administration is a plus
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable
