As a planning engineer, you will be responsible for developing project plans, schedules, and controlling activities during the execution phase of the project. Your role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables while adhering to project specifications and requirements. Project Planning and Scheduling: o Develop project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures (WBS) based on project goals and deliverables. o Estimate resources, duration, and costs required to complete projects. o Ensure alignment of project plans with overall organizational objectives and client requirements. 2. Monitoring and Control: o Monitor project progress against the established schedule and identify deviations or delays. o Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to timelines. o Regularly update project schedules and communicate progress to stakeholders. 3. Resource Management: o Coordinate with resource managers to allocate resources effectively and efficiently. o Optimize resource utilization to maximize productivity and minimize costs. 4. Risk Management: o Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project schedules. o Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address unforeseen events. 5. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain accurate records of project plans, schedules, and progress reports. o Prepare regular status reports and presentations for project stakeholders. 6. Collaboration and Communication: o Foster collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and contractors. o Facilitate meetings and discussions to resolve issues and make decisions promptly. 7. Quality Assurance: o Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. o Conduct quality checks and inspections as necessary throughout the project lifecycle. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.). Proven experience as a planning engineer or in a similar role within the construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries. Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel or equivalent tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
