Exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager to join our clients team in Johannesburg, South Africa. ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client is a large national pioneering manufacturer and supplier of packaging. JOB SUMMARY The Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing & developing plans to cost-effectively transform the unconstrained demand from the market through a constrained module and still achieve the business objectives. This will be achieved through managing and directing the supply chain planning department, process, and systems so that marketing demands are met at lowest cost. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain NQF 6 or higher Minimum 3 years planning/production/supply chain experience in a FMCG environment Knowledge of ABACA & CTI an advantage Manufacturing and Supply chain experience essential Knowledge of LEAN, Pull Production, and basic supply chain principles JOB DESCRIPTION The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:- Develop and implement planning strategy. Support the development and implementation of a strategic supply chain infra-structure plan Analyze and report operations performance Develop, agree and monitor performance goals Guide, support and coach team Manage externally manufactured product supply (Outsourcing) Planning methods/techniques Inventory management People management Please be advised that only shortlisted candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role will be contacted for a telephone interview by one of our consultants.
