Phakisa Holdings is currently seeking a Quality Control Monitor in the Pretoria West area. Responsible for Monitoring Food Safety and Quality in the factory and facility. Maintaining Final Product Storage Shelves (Remove expired products) Maintain Housekeeping in the laboratory. Monitoring daily production processes Complete daily production process checks sheets (Traceability records) Monitoring product during and after freezing. Monitoring all foreign objects (Glass & hard, pest, metal and other) Monitoring packaging integrity (Weight checks, BB Date verification, Correct label verification, seal integrity, Collection of finished products for shelf life and micro testing). Monitoring final product shelf life, weights, and Work in progress aspects. Foreign Object Inspections on a set schedule and keep FO tracker up to date. Monitoring cleaning and basic hygiene including housekeeping. Full GMP inspection on all plant areas (Production area, sorting area, wrapping areas, pre-scaling areas, stores, change rooms, chillers etc.) includes hand stations, waste areas etc. Monitoring and ensuring traceability records are completed by relevant personnel. Monitoring of metal detection and ensure its efficiently working. Conducting product QC assessment (evaluation) for both beginning and end of shelf life. Truck Inspection and dispatching of final product. Final product inspection (Usage of an Accept and reject criteria) Final product sample collection for WW QC samples and for micro testing Scale verifications Equipment verification (Thermometers) Take part in factory trials. Assist in investigation by retrieving records of production date in question Filling and compiling daily document sheets Conduct allergens/cleaning verification tests and conduct positive release. Raising non-conformance report and doing follow up (ensuring it is properly investigated and closed) Raiding Job cards Grade 12 Food Technology (3 year diploma or degree) Environmental Health (3 year diploma or degree) Food Science (3 year diploma or degree) Report any issues that could affect daily operations and quality of product You will be required to work on rotational schedule for different shifts (night/day, Saturday, Sunday and holidays) You will be required to work on different departmental areas (on a rotational schedule) Time management Attend meetings when required Training flour workers when required Identify your own training needs R31.27 Per Hour 4 month contract
