1) Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start-up up to Certification. 2) Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data. 3) Design, run tests and upgrade systems and processes. 4) Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output. 5) Perform process simulations. 6) Perform risk assessments. 7) Provide / update process documentation and operating instructions by using the Standard Operating Procedure Register and Standard Operating Procedure Worksheet. 8) Create and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. 9) Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues that impact quality, cost and rework. 10) Collect and analyze process data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions. 11) Utilize control systems to monitor and adjust processes in real-time, ensuring optimal operating conditions. 12) Lead (APQP) Advance Product Quality Planning relative to Tooling & Processing. 13) Initiate and procure tooling to support new and current processes. 14) Ensure capability of current process / quality. 15) Ensure process / quality capability of new processes prior to hand over to production. 16) Ensure man assignments are correct to cycle times. 17) Lead process audits and action audit findings. 18) Maintain process flow charts, layouts and floor plans. 19) Ensure that all employees are responsible for knowing the responsibilities associated with their job functions relative to process / quality. 20) Ensure employees are responsible for implementing all procedures and work practices as defined in the (QMS) Quality Management System. 21) Develop process parameters for new programs or products. 22) Provide manufacturing related design input. 23) Provide manufacturing process technical support for existing platforms. 24) Coordinate activities related to procurement of all tooling relative to the sustainability, improvement of process quality. 25) Co-responsibility for development and maintenance of tooling storage and related systems. 26) Develop Standard Work Combination Tables (SWCT) for each process assigned. 27) Support Kaizen Teams when process / equipment expertise is needed. 28) Develop scale layouts with continuous process flow. Qualifications - Grade 12 or or equivalent qualification ESSENTIAL - National Diploma in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering ESSENTIAL - Minimum 3 years' experience in Manufacturing (preferably Automotive Industry). - Knowledge and understanding of ISO Quality Management Systems. - CAD software (Preferably SolidWorks) or any CAD software knowledge. - Basic understanding of legislative and compliance processes. WEST RAND RESIDENTS Other requirements - Microsoft Office expertise - Proficiency in CAD Software : Ability to use CAD tools for complex process design, reverse engineering, drafting and simulation of engineering components. - Process Optimization : Experience applying Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to optimize existing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. - Technical Troubleshooting : Demonstrable ability in diagnosing and resolving complex process-related issues that impact quality, cost and efficiency. - Project Execution : Significant experience in seeing projects through from conception to completion within stipulated timelines and budgets. - Cross-Functional Collaboration : History of effective collaboration with various departments such as R&D, Quality Control and Production to achieve project objectives. - Regulatory Compliance : Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations. - Resource Management : Experience in efficient allocation and utilization of resources, including manpower, materials and time. - Quality Management : In-depth experience working closely with quality assurance teams to conduct tests, validate results, and implement quality control measures. - Data-Driven Decision Making : A track record of collecting and analyzing process and operational data to drive improvements Negotiable on qualifications and experience Apply Now
