We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Manager to oversee our client's manufacturing workshop operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial manufacturing, with expertise in managing a team of skilled tradespeople. Leadership: Manage and lead a team of workshop personnel, including boilermakers, welders, and other tradespeople. Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet client demands while ensuring efficient resource utilization. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship and adherence to quality control procedures. Safety Compliance: Ensure workshop operations comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage workshop inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock for production needs. Training and Development: Mentor and train workshop staff to enhance skills and knowledge. Cost Management: Monitor and control workshop expenses to optimize operational efficiency. Education: Red Seal certification as a Boilermaker or Welder is essential. Experience: Proven experience in managing a workshop within the industrial manufacturing sector. Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills. Proficiency in production planning and resource management. Knowledge: Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to workshop operations. Preferred: Additional certifications or training in workshop management or related fields. R500 000 CTC to R600 000 CTC per annum based on experience and qualifications
