Overview: The Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing the procurement process of raw materials and supplies necessary for our cashew processing operations. This role is pivotal to ensuring the smooth and cost-effective acquisition of goods, fostering strong supplier relationships, and maintaining the highest quality standards. What you will be doing: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-efficient acquisition of raw materials. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with vendors. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels. Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other essential data. Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed procurement decisions. Collaborate with the finance department to manage budgets and forecast procurement needs. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities. Prepare clear and concise reports on procurement activities and performance metrics. What we are looking for: Minimum of HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. 3 – 6 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably within a food processing company or the FMCG industry. Demonstrated leadership and teamwork experience. Detailed and result-oriented with excellent analytical skills. Proficient in MS Office and capable of preparing clear and concise reports.
