Job Title: Procurement Manager Description A leader in the global diamond mining industry, seeks a Procurement Manager to oversee our procurement operations within the warehouse setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policies through strategic procurement practices. 2. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage procurement policies and strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services. Oversee the procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring alignment with operational and project timelines. Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and relationship management pertinent to the diamond mining context. Implement and oversee a procurement approval process for transactions up to R500,000, with significant or one-off purchases requiring additional approval from the COO and CFO. Collaborate closely with the maintenance engineering department to ensure the timely procurement of technical equipment and supplies. Conduct market analysis to stay informed of industry trends and leverage information for strategic procurement planning. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards, particularly those relevant to diamond mining operations. 3 . Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in procurement within a related industry, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the mining sector. Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and analytical skills. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement software. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities 4 . Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for financial planning and approvals. 5. Remuneration A competitive monthly salary ranging from R80k to R90k, reflecting the importance of this role within the organization and the expertise required. The Procurement Manager will be a strategic addition to the Trans Hex team, ensuring the company's continued success and operational excellence in the diamond mining industry.
