An Agritalrent client, a leading agribusiness, seeks a Procurement Manager responsible for s trategically optimising procurement for the Group by fostering intercompany synergies andensuring cost-effective management of all purchases and contracts, with a focus on enhancing product and service quality. Strategic Development: • Devise long-term development strategies for procurement based on data-driven analysis. • Formulate and implement effective procurement and sourcing strategies.Supplier Discovery and Partnerships: • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, vendors, and contractors that can fulfil the scope ofworks effectively and efficiently. • Perform best practice supplier vetting processes on identified suppliers. • Initiate and manage procurement partnerships • Establish advantageous Service Level Agreements (SLAs) / supply agreements with suppliers.Sourcing and Negotiation: • Oversee the sourcing of products and services • Negotiate with external vendors to secure favourable terms and agreements. • Oversee negotiations with suppliers. • Approve bulk purchase agreements on products to optimise cost savings.Contract Management: • Examine and evaluate existing contracts for performance and cost-efficiency. • Continuously maintain and manage supplier relationships. • Actively search for new vendors to diversify the supplier base. • Reduce non-contractual spending by shifting procurement activities to a contract-basedapproach with key suppliers.Supply Chain Optimisation: • Establish and maintain efficient supply procedures and services. • Oversee project procurement. • Facilitate Engineering and Property Asset's tender process and procurement using a welldesigned tender system. Supplier Management: • Oversee the negotiation of favourable trading terms, prices, discounts, and conditions with keysuppliers, reviewing these annually. • Conduct market research to maintain price competitiveness.• Negotiate strategic and volume-based transactions for cost-effectiveness .• Review prices and trading terms with key suppliers annually. • Work closely with the company's legal department to ensure favourable contract terms. Financial Control and Optimisation: • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements. • Control spending and cultivate a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs. • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and enhance procurementeffectiveness .• Evaluate spending operations to improve product quality and delivery timeliness. • Conduct cost analyses and establish benchmarks for improvement .• Analyse and make recommendations on whether to perform third-party contracted work inhouse .• Perform logical and analytical thinking on scope of works provided by operational or specialistdepartments to understand their specific procurement needs and requirements. Ensure optimal staffing in accordance with policy .• Supervise a purchasing team and delegate tasks across departments as needed. • Provide clear vision and direction, and set clear and achievable goals for the team. • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture. • Provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations. • Facilitate open and effective communication within the team. • Address conflicts within the team promptly. • Empower team members to take ownership of their responsibilities .• Identify and support training and development opportunities for team members' growth. • Encourage continuous learning and skill development. • Ensure efficient use of time and skills. • Monitor and enhance team morale.
