The Procurement Officer will be responsible for all procurement activities within the organization specializing in demand planning.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising procurement processes, ensuring the cost-effectiveness, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance whilst meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:- Adjusting procurement plans based on demand forecasts to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Communicating with suppliers to align delivery schedules with demand forecasts, ensuring timely availability of materials.
- Identifying and selecting suppliers who provide the best quality products and services at the most competitive prices.
- Negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers.
- Managing supplier contracts and agreements, including renegotiating terms when necessary.
- Implementing inventory control measures to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
- Working closely with quality assurance teams to resolve any quality issues with purchased goods.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Staying updated with technological advancements in procurement and supply chain management.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in procurement
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in procurement.
