Our branch in Krugersdrop, is looking to fill their vacancy of Buyer/Procurement Officer. Process internal requisitions for local orders Expediting orders, following up with suppliers Receipting of all orders on Evolution Sourcing of current and new products, negotiate pricing Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports and price lists Work with relevant stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements Communicate with intercompany divisions regarding stock requirements and communicate with the relevant departments to ensure that the most economical modes of transport are used to obtain the products internally Administer contract performance, including receipt, delivery, warranties as well as the control of expired stock to ensure that stock is rotated between branches before it expires Assisting the Sales Department with Quotations Comply with all Company processes and procedures, regulations and standards Previous experience as procurement officer or related position – Veterinary background would be an added advantage Proficient computer skills, including Pastel Evolution, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions Ability to work extremely well under pressure High attention to detail and superior organizational and co-ordination skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently and professionally Accurate and precise attention to detail Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels Goal-oriented, organized team player Market related
