At least 6 years of senior procurement experience, preferably as a procurement project manager or senior category controller in a mid to large company.
Experience in managing and delivering projects for the Board of a mid to large company.
Selling in projects that challenge traditional thinking whilst securing engagement and alignment from senior management the ability to manage, motivate and develop project teams.
Be able to identify, nurture and focus the skills of others to achieve the companys goals.
Strong track record of savings delivery within a high-spend environment.
Energy, drive, determination, enthusiasm and an ability to work to tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Keen commercial business sense.
Tenacious in approach to achieving targets both personal and team targets.
Good understanding of supply chain and procurement practices.
Trustworthy and discrete when handling confidential information.
Smart appearance and professional manner.

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Take ownership and commercial accountability for the delivery of the projects.
Manage and maintain agreed ROI targets through careful management of resources versus anticipated project income.
Take responsibility for the financial reporting of each project within the client portfolio,
effectively communicating all financial aspects of the project plan to the CFO and Client Director.
Manage the project within agreed timescales in line with the companys framework, brand standards and values.
Lead and coach project teams to ensure that all the companys team members on the project have the experience and skills needed to complete projects On-Time and In-Full.
Build and maintain motivation, innovation and energy within the project team and help to develop their relationship with the client stakeholders in order to enhance the companys brand through the successful delivery of the clients objectives.
Develop and deliver category initiatives personally, as required, as part of the project deliverable, ensuring On-Time and In-Full delivery to the companys quality standards.
With the Commercial Accountant, manage and maintain agreed return on investment targets through careful management of resources versus anticipated project income.
Proactively develop the clients understanding of all the companys services and actively promote and secure appropriate additional work.
Develop and deliver category approach strategies personally (when required), injecting innovation and creativity into the approach.
Be able to support & develop other team members through mentoring and coaching.
Consistently be an ambassador for the companys brand.
