Looking for a Product Developer that specilises within the Toyota Product Line. Deliverables Development of new ranges for vehicle parts Ensure that weekly/ monthly targets are being met for adding new product numbers onto the system Maintenance of current product numbers on the system. Availability of parts. Customer satisfaction Customer Orders deliveries Stock holding Back orders H&S incidents Product Development Manager satisfaction Chief Operations Officer satisfaction Approved KPI's Growth in vehicles lines and parts. Represent the Company in a professional, enthusiastic, and positive manner. Contribute to a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by yourself and the team. Understand customer needs and ensure alignment with the needs/ commitments of the business. Keep up to date and respond accordingly to all enquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Identify any systems improvements and drive through recommendations for change to ensure efficiencies are maximised within department. Ensure that all required metrics/ KPIs, reports, process documentation, customer service logs and training and safety records are updated and completed. Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as delivering continues improvement initiatives. Research into new and existing vehicle parts within the industry. Continuously review competitors' offerings to the market. Understand the requirements of the market and market growth within industry. Monthly/ weekly reports on new development and requirements/ market trends. Acquiring new vehicle ranges and ensuring that parts are readily available to customers. Work closely with the Marketing team on the leaflet and other marketing initiatives. Assist branches that dial in for assistance on parts and or general queries. Make use of carpark information to determine current market demand. Relationship Management Customer satisfaction on availability of parts for wide range of vehicles Chief Operations Officer satisfaction Research and development Manager Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintained in a positive and collaborative manner. Work as part of the team to share ideas and improve operations within the department, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance. Ensure an effective interface with other departmental staff is maintained. Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers. Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the purchasing and product development strategy. Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact. Qualifications Qualified Mechanic and or Mechanical Training, Mechanical Engineering Matric, Grade 12 Experience & Skills Understanding of procurement/supply chain Sound Technical knowledge and understanding Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. Strong knowledge of Product Development Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and best practices. Hands on experience with product development software and database management where appropriate. Experience in working in the Motor Industry and environment. Need to understand processes and able to develop and implement new processes if and when required Technical skills set Fault finding skills Experience in cataloguing Analytical skills (Information processing) with key focus on driving improvements through use of appropriate data. Manage controls Change management Record keeping Purchasing and budgetary management knowledge Computer knowledge Legislative knowledge Stock control Influence/ negotiating skills Teamwork
