Description Product Manager Montague Gardens Cape Town Our manufacturer/FMCG client in Montague Gardens is looking for a Product Manager / Category Manager / Brand Manager with 3 years plus experience. It's a real marketing role. You need product management / development experience as well as managing a brand. You will be responsible for managing a category within the product range of the company. Report to the Marketing Director. Should have product experience or even an inclination towards having worked in a product or hardware or FMCG/Manufacturing/Retail environment. You need pure marketing or product experience. This is not a Buyer position. Salary up to R 60 000 basic plus medical aid and pension – Highly Negotiable EE Min Requirements Degree in Marketing, Business administration, or a related field 3 years of product/category/brand/marketing management experience within a FMCG environment Ability to think on a Strategic level and to execute category channel plans Responsibilities Positioning products – getting a clear message through to the sales team of where our good/better/best should be positioned in a store Positioning – which stores to position them in, what POS needs to go with them, what the pricing should be. Category / Channel strategy, visit the regions/countries to stay up to date with market development and Visit trade shows Participate in pricing alignment within Global accounts, channels and markets Ensure Brand and Packaging consistency within the Category Product development Manage the NPD process, be involved in the R&D process validation for the category/channel projects together with Purchasing, R&D develops new concepts with external suppliers Packaging / Layout design update the designs within the category Trade support monitors Design and re-design packaging layouts for Consumer products Aligning best POS practices with Global Consumer market Support new Market development Apply Online Frogg Recruitment We offer Medical Aid Contribution, Provident Fund Contribution, Annual Bonuses, Performance Bonuses
