Our client a leading, a specialist in Flour Correctors, Bread Improvers, Technological aids and Cereal Ingredient based in Durban, requires the services of a Production Manager to join their Dynamic Team. The client has a team with more than 20 employees, in which contributes to a wide range of industry experience and networks to create the best outcomes for their customers. Role: Production / Operations Manager Night Shift: You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in the manufacturing of our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the production team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to optimize manufacturing efficiency and minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with quality standards, health, and safety regulations throughout the production process. Collaborate with the procurement and supply chain teams to maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase overall operational effectiveness. Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement within the production team. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on production performance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Proven experience in FMCG production management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and health and safety standards. Demonstrated ability to implement lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
