Client in the FMCG, Industry is looking to fill the role of a Production Manager, based in Durban. This person will be responsible for the the following, amongst other duties: Ensuring Proper housekeeping by maintaining a minimum score of 95% on the housekeeping checklist and 100% adherence to the dress code. Working with HSE to ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures. Overseeing and assisting with training of all Production staff Ensuring they run a Polyoak standard Factory Partnering with Quality to ensure the correct standards in accordance with FSSC and ISO systems are maintained. Controlling spares usage and costs. Establish the budget for mould expenses and equipment including the control of consumable costs. Identification and achievement of measurable technical and process developments and improvements. Machine efficiencies of Managing of all machine and plant maintenance. Managing of Production Staff to ensure a motivated and high performing team. Competencies: 3 years or more Production/Unit Management experience essential 5 years plus continuous manufacturing Production experience, Injection and/or Blowmoulding experience is advantageous. A completed Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree or National Diploma is essential. Personal Charactistics: Strong sense of urgency and enjoys being on the floor and in a hands-on type of role and environment Excellent communication and proven track record of managing a production team Ability to make tough decisions and manage complexity Self - motivated, energetic and ability to motivate and empower a team Overtime may be required periodically Please only apply if you meet the above mentioned, as only shortlisted candidate will be contacted.
