Our client - formerly the Bruce, King, and Mokaning (BKM) project, is a leading iron ore producer in South Africa's Northern Cape province. With a production capacity now at 14 million tones, they significantly contribute to the country's mineral exports. Located 29 km from Kathu, their mine in the Southern Kalahari provides a distinct chance for career advancement and development within the company. Key Performance Areas: To ensure the optimization of operational systems (production and fatigue) and services, to assist in achieving production targets and improving business performance. This includes but is not limited to: Operations management SHERQ adherence and compliance in own area of work Contractor management Budget and cost control People management and leadership Continuous improvement Work ethics Qualifications: Essential: Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Mining Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Mine Surveying / Geology Recommended: Degree or B.Tech Degree (NQF Level 7) in Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Mine Surveying / Geology Supervisory Certificate (NQF Level 4 - 150 credit) / ARM or equivalent Other Requirements: Essential: Medically fit (meeting required medical fitness standards) Valid Code B/EB driver's license Experience: Essential: Minimum of five (5) years operational Production Management / Fleet Management systems experience Minimum of one (1) year operational exposure to at least one of the following: SQL / Visual Basic or similar coding Minimum of two (2) years operational ERP / Systems experience with background in data structures Minimum of one (1) year First Line Supervisory / Project Management experience as a Supervisor / Team Leader / Project Leader (Total of 8 years) Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Computer Literacy: Intermediate user of MS Office (Word and Excel) Intermediate user of JDE, Qlickview or equivalent Working knowledge of relational databases, decision support database systems, mine planning systems, mining information systems, computer network operating systems Risk management, productivity analysis system, Load and Haul and Drilling monitoring and navigation systems Management and Leadership Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations Planning and Organizing Adapting and Responding to Change Creative and Innovative Coping with Pressures and Setbacks Terms & Conditions: The candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996. Remuneration will be based on a competitive all-inclusive flexible package. Preference will be given to women in mining and designated groups in accordance with the Companys Employment Equity Plan.
