Our client, a leader in the chemical manufacturing industry specializing in strong adhesives and chemical processing, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee their production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical processing, a keen eye for safety and quality, and the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production targets efficiently. Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that production targets are met within the specified quality and safety standards. Monitor and optimize production processes for efficiency and quality, making adjustments as necessary to meet production goals. Lead, train, and develop a team of production staff, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Coordinate with other departments (such as R&D, Quality Control, and Logistics) to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of production schedules. Implement and enforce strict safety guidelines and practices, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Analyze production data and reports to identify trends, resolve issues, and implement improvements. Participate in the development and implementation of new production processes and technologies to enhance productivity and product quality. Key Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Proficient in process improvement and quality management principles. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the chemical manufacturing industry. Proficiency in relevant software, including production management and quality control systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a chemical processing or strong adhesive manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience in leading safety initiatives and compliance in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable. Certification in production and inventory management (e.g., CPIM) or a similar qualification is a plus.
