As a Professional Quantity Surveyor at our client, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates, managing budgets, and ensuring cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to optimize project costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects. Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments to identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with project teams to develop procurement strategies and evaluate subcontractor bids. Monitor project costs and expenditures, providing regular reports and updates to stakeholders. Assess variations and change orders, ensuring they are accurately priced and documented. Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality. Provide expert advice on cost management and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle. Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Professional accreditation or membership with relevant industry associations (e.g., RICS, AACEI) is preferred. Knowledge of local construction regulations and codes.
