Professor-Speech Language Pathology - East London

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide academic leadership in research; curriculum design, development, and implementation.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules.
- Meet research publication requirements for the academic rank of professor.
- Secure external research grants and establish research programs.
- Supervise all levels of postgraduate students and host post-doctoral fellows.
- Establish institutional, national and international collaborations.
- Provide academic leadership and contribute to mentorship of academic staff.
- Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research.
- Contribute to University service and participate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty and university levels.

Desired Experience & Qualification
- A relevant Doctoral Degree.
- Professional registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in the category of Speech Therapist.
- At least 9 years' experience in higher education.
- Extensive undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in Speech Language Pathology.
- A track record of international and national accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Professor.
- Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Professor.
- Evidence of successful national and international fundraising for research.
- Recognition as an established scholar in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating, international keynote addresses/ plenary lectures.
