We are currently recruting for a qualified and experienced Civil Society Support Programme Pillar Head to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg . Job Purpose: The Civil Society Support Pillar Head is responsible for the conceptualisation, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all CSSP programme plans and activities. The CSSP Pillar Head strategically leads partnerships and stakeholder engagements, manages outsourced service provider relationships and is responsible for all programme deliverables. Strategic Leadership To conceptualise and strategically position all elements of the CSSP To provide guidance to KT Executive and Board on Civil Society To lead strategic engagements with stakeholders To lead partnerships with stakeholders, including private sector and government To conceptualise and activate leveraging of private sector contributions to civil society To manage and maintain national, regional, continental and international civil society partnerships To provide strategic oversight of advocacy and civil society engagements To proactively conceptualise and activate community self-activity and KT support to strengthen community resilience strategies through KT Leverage Funding To Manage the implementation of all aspects of the CSSP To provide platforms for skills and capacity building and transfer between CSSP and other Pillars and units of KT. Compliance To ensure compliance in all financial related areas within the line. To maintain and ensure effective systems for operation and implementation of the CSSP To manage and control all financial, administrative and accounting standards as required by KT. Civil Society Capacity Building To define, strategically position, and develop a civil society programmatic approach for KT To conceptualise, manage implementation, track and report on the civil society capacity support programmes To create criteria civil society capacity development programmes and design of replicable models. People Management To develop and retain competent staff by mentoring and coaching, conducting regular performance management, providing sufficient training and development initiatives, and rewarding and recognising good performers To promote a culture that reflects and rewards productivity and results, team orientation, and employee well-being. Service provider management To develop and manage service provider contracts for civil society capacity programmes, To manage and hold accountable all outsourced work to service providers Formal Qualification/Degree Formal Degree in Development Studies, Organisational Management of Related Field/s Masters Degree in Management or Development Studies Work Experience (What kind of experience is needed to do this job?) 10 -15 years' experience in NGO/CSO management Knowledge of NPO/NGO capacity development Experience in NGO leadership in advocacy, research, policy and partnership coordination Experience of project and programme conceptualisation and design Experience in implementing and working on complex programmes Experience and expertise in financial management and compliance Strong expertise in programme M&E Job Related Knowledge (knowledge of systems, processes, regulations, or law) Knowledge of NPO/NGO capacity development Experience in NGO leadership in advocacy, research, policy and partnership coordination Experience of project and programme conceptualisation and design Experience in implementing and working on complex programmes Experience and expertise in financial management and compliance Strong expertise in programme M&E Job Related Skills Communication skills (Verbal and Written) Computer skills (MS Office) Design & implementation of programmes & project Programme & project M&E Budgeting skills Analytical skills Team Player Detail Orientated Planned and Organised Financial Reporting Market Related Apply Now
