We are currently recruting for a qualified and experienced CSSP Capacity Building & Advocacy Manager to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg . Job Purpose: Conceptualising, design, plan, implement, manage, and monitor Civil Society Support Programmes by working with partners, stakeholders and the wider target audience including programme pillars. Engaging with stakeholders and building relationships is a key component to effectively implement the programme. Civil society coordination & collaboration Develop advocacy framework for sector coordination and collaboration Support the consultative conferences, working groups, networks, and sectors Convene sector learning and building forums for selected sectors as case studies. Identify common Civil Society Policy positions to create a platform for advocacy and lobbying. Support integration and collaboration with Programme Pillars to popularise KT work in civil society Identify, monitor, implement and evaluate NPO Capacity Building Framework Develop and maintain a national NPO capacity building schedule, calendar, and database Maintain a national NPO database. Stakeholder and Partner Engagement Develop an advocacy plan for stakeholder engagement. Leverage partnerships and relationships to enhance sustainability of Civil Society organisations and KT programmes. Contribute to KT's development strategy by meeting with potential partners and seeking out avenues for new projects. Support CSOs to apply innovative strategic communication approaches to promote engagement. Internal Management Support planning of activities related to Civil Society for program pillars. Research and Policy Development Build and scale-up thought leadership through research and policy development to promote, design and adoption of new systems and cultures facilitating planning for long-term sustainability. Contribute towards the rebuilding of civil society's voice and capable responsiveness to national policy development and community needs. Reporting Prepare project weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports on Civil Society Support Programme activities. Assist with ad hoc tasks as and when required. Formal Qualification/Degree Relevant tertiary qualification (honours) Work Experience (What kind of experience is needed to do this job?) Minimum 5 years' experience in the development sector, project management space and/or civil society capacity building Experience of strategic planning, process management and stakeholder engagement Project experience related to community development within the NGO space.
