We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Accountant to join our team. Job Purpose: To provide a professional accounting function to the company by processing payables, receivables, general ledger accounting entries, reconciliations, preparation of financial statements. Location: Sandton Johannesburg Prepare monthly financial statements and management accounts for shareholders and group reporting Monthly forecasting (including cashflow forecasting) Variance analysis (budget vs actual, budget vs forecasts) Month end closing: monthly calculation and processing of accruals (e.g. interest, commitment fees, bonuses, other expenses), preparation of reconciliations, closure checklists, subledger to ledger recons Revenue recognition and monthly invoicing to Off-Taker Calculation and recording of foreign exchange gains/losses Prepare reconciliations and analysis for balance sheet and income/expense items Prepare different reports as and when required Implementation and ensuring compliance to internal control procedures and policies Process invoice vouchers on Oracle Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders Prepare payment vouchers with complete supporting documentation Obtain appropriate approval for the payments from the authorized authorities Processing of online payments Review of petty cash and fleet account recons Creditors and debtors reconciliations Review of monthly bank reconciliations and ensuring reconciling items are valid and cleared timeously Maintain up to date record of Fixed Assets & monthly depreciation calculation Review of payroll and payment of salaries Ensure EMP201 is submitted on time and make monthly payments to SARS on time Monthly reconciliation of payroll register and trial balance Timeous preparation of VAT schedules, and submission of VAT201 returns and payments Prepare audit packs for SARS Attending to any other queries that customers, suppliers or colleagues might have Bachelors' degree in Accounting /Finance At least 3 years' work experience in a similar role Experience in renewable Energy will be an added advantage Market Related
