Reference: CPT003372-Del-1Do you have your B. Eng Mechanical degree and a minimum 5 years’ experience? Our very well-established client based in the Northern Suburbs requires an experienced Project Engineer, with a technical manufacturing background, to complete various projects working alongside the production and maintenance team. REQUIREMENTS Matric and completed B. Eng Mechanical degree 5 Years similar experience DUTIES Project Planning: Prepare a project plan for each task and drive each task within scope of project. Identify objectives of each phase and ensure these are achieved within timeframe. Obtain approval for project plan from Lead PE and final approval from the CEO. Project Research & Design: Liaise with R&D and Design teams on project needs & delegate designs. Engage with R & D team on existing improvement of plant machines, and/or new development and testing of projects. Conduct in depth research with relation to project needs. Obtain final approval with relation to project research and design specifications. Accountable to ensure that designs and specifications adhere to OHS regulations. Project Commissioning: Ensure effective commission of the project at the time of completion and/or testing and take responsibility to ensure complete commissioning process is achieved prior to handing over project to production. Ensure all relevant parties receive effective training at the time of commissioning. Ensure all relevant documents, manuals, rules, work instructions, and maintenance requirements are handed over to production department effectively. Attend to snag list alongside maintenance / production Close the projects(s)and ensure Finance capitalizes. Plant Facilities & Equipment Repair and maintenance of all plant facilities, and surrounding areas. Obtain quotes on ad hoc projects for general maintenance and plant repairs. Source appropriate stock / materials required by handyman. Liaise with relevant management, contractors, service providers with relation to task. Maintain and repair the following facilities in all blocks: Plant Walls & Inside Floors – damaged / wear & tear. Outside factory walls, floors & pavements. Lighting, Ventilation, Reasonable walkways. Air conditioning & fans and windows. Safe Stacking practices, Waste Areas, Storage Areas, Parking Areas, Shade ports. Plant Signage – Branding and General Signs. Surrounding Irrigation – QC Park. Roofing / leaks / painting / doors / windows. General Security and Alarms All - Camera systems, Radios, Roller doors Follow any reasonable instruction from Plant Engineer, management and/or CEO.
