Howden MEA Projects is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to be responsible for the coordination of complex and multidiscipline engineering projects from design to implementation, ensuring on-time completion at an appropriate cost and with the required level of quality. What needs to be done? - Execute turnkey projects in the mining & industrial sectors by leading project teams including drawing office & engineering, application engineers, quality, supply chain, planner, contract specialist and document controller. - Managing full scope on high value turnkey projects. - Controlling finance by managing supplier commitments on projects while tracking and pursuing invoicing milestones to maintaining a favorable cash flow position. - Actively managing changes, variations and amendments. - Ensuring safety compliance on project sites as company's appointed 16.2 - Managing subcontractors and their activities to complete projects safely, on time and to specification. - Attending client and site project progress meetings and reporting progress on status and risks to management. - Managing contract and communicating with customers in line with conditions under which the contract is established - Tracking and complete handover of supplier documentation, as-built, manuals and data books on throughout the contract. - Closing projects on completion. - Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley and AX controls What do you need to bring? - BSc / BEng/ BTech Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. - Experience in managing EPC contracts is a must. - Project Management Professional Certification will be advantage. - Minimum 8 years' experience managing large projects. - Understanding of project management processes and procedures. - Knowledge of NEC and/or FIDIC conditions of contract - Process plant experience - Good negotiation skills. - Customer-facing experience and strong communication skills a must. - Experience in project execution including earth works, civils, process, mechanical & EC&I. - Ability to read and understand complex P&ID's.
