This Position is a Hybrid work from home position, Based at the ITS Head Office in Midrand for occasional meetings and events, as well as at customer sites during project delivery. The role provides for scoping, management, delivery and escalation support for technical project delivery in the fields of Server, Network, Storage and Cloud infrastructure Encompassing both technical and project management roles, the role demands a candidate who is able to self manage and deliver independently. The successful candidate will provide for technical project delivery as per our contracts, using assigned resources and 3 rd party providers where necessary to support implementations. Responsibilities: Day to Day: Perform Pre-Sales engineering for new opportunities Present to technical audiences around benefits of solutions and technologies Perform deployments of infrastructure technologies Develop and implement infrastructure architecture best practices, standards, and processes. Perform project management for ongoing projects Assist with escalations and technical issues Maintain relationships with customer technical teams Assist on-site resources with 3 rd party management / engagement where necessary Receive and resolve customer escalations related to deployments. Monitor service performance and optimize as needed Identify opportunities for upsells and lead these with assigned opportunities. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and partners Provide technical guidance and support to sales and marketing teams in developing cloud service proposals and pricing models Create and update client documentation within a defined and reasonable cycle. Monitor resolution of escalated tickets and ticket ageing in the appropriate ticketing systems Perform environment reviews / audits and create periodic reports for use by customer and internal management teams Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to lower level resources Perform performance review processes for assigned resources Ensure effective resolution of recurring issues to prevent recurrence Sales-focused areas: Scope and design solutions for customers as required Participate in product design and maintenance projects Host customer facing calls to explain benefits of products and explain features Educational Requirements Mandatory: Matric or NQF Equivalent Degree or diploma in computer science, or equivalent experience Specialist level certifications in at least 2 of the following areas, base certifications in the remainder Microsoft Infrastructure (On-prem or Azure – Microsoft Solutions / Enterprise Architect or similar) Networking / Wireless config/troubleshooting (CCNA or similar) Project management certification or relevant experience. Advantageous: Expert level certification in any of the above areas Professional body certifications in ITIL, Project management and other relevant areas Experience required 5-10 years overall experience within the IT industry in South Africa Strong Experience in infrastructure engineering and project management. Ability to present to key stakeholders and decisionmakers. Highly proficient with the following technologies Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD / Entra Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure Windows Server and Client Patching and vulnerability management Routing and firewalling Connectivity Virtualization technologies - Hyper-V, VMWare, KVM or others Server, storage and network hardware Backup solutions and methodologies Disaster Recovery solutions and methodologies Monitoring and management toolsets Be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the following concepts: Networking Storage Servers Cloud infrastructure Experience in composing and maintaining detailed documentation, including: Project plans Technical Proposals & Design documentation Business cases Process documentation Reports on implementations, technical or team performance, etc. To be Discussed on Interview Apply Now
