Based out of the relevant customer site in Sandton, this position reports to the Intellitech Systems managed services technical lead. This role provides on-site support as required by customers as well as management of all installed site infrastructure and liaison with the site management team. This role requires dilligent execution of assigned tasks and instructions from customer managers and site management. Day to Day: Perform resolution of customer issues as directed by the customer or company superiors Successfully execute all 1st and 2nd line support tasks Be the single point of contact for all projects running in our area on a customer site Maintain a good working relationship with customer teams Ensure logging of all support requests within a ticketing system (either ITS or customer owned) Perform routine administration for day to day IT procurement requirements at the client Advise site management on IT impact and requirements for their initiatives Communicate with customer upstream IT teams to ensure flow of information into local organisations 3rd party management / engagement Receive and act upon customer escalations Maintain technical/deliverables relationship with allocated customers Proactively ensure a high level of availability for all supported services Participate in the company standby schedule Long-term customer management: Maintain network and infrastructure documentation within a defined and reasonable cycle. Ensure resolution of escalated tickets in the ticketing system and monitor ticket ageing for assigned site. Educational Requirements Mandatory: Matric or NQF Equivalent Associate level certifications in at least 2 of the following areas, base certifications in the remainder Microsoft Infrastructure (On-prem or Azure) Microsoft Client Operating Systems Cisco or equivalent Networking ITIL Advantageous: Professional level certification in any of the above areas (CCNP or similar) Professional body certifications in ITIL, Project management and other relevant areas Degree or diploma in computer science Experience required At least 5 years overall experience within the IT industry in South Africa 1-5 Years' experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Client Operating Systems – W7/W10/W11 Mobile operating Systems (IOS / Android) Microsoft Active Directory Windows File Permissions Networking Basics (IP v4/v6 addressing & subnetting, cable management, fibre connectivity, internet connectivity) Server, storage and network hardware Backup monitoring Voice systems troubleshooting and management Experience in understanding & maintaining detailed documentation, including: Project plans (MS Project) Systems documentation Process documentation Reports on work output Market related for L2 certified desktop/infrastructure support technicians.
