MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related Foreman position.
- Certified Galvanizers Inspector.
- National Diploma in Quality Management or related field or Grade 12 /Minimum N3 Mathematics, and English verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to read drawings (Mechanical).
- Experienced in measuring practices and measuring instrument utilization.
- Knowledge of current basic I.R. procedures.
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Syspro)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE
- Supervision and control of all the Quality Control Inspectors
- Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and procedures.
- Ensure that all inspections are conducted per the Quality Control Plans
- Maximizes efficient use of all resources.
- Is responsible for the maintenance of all the inspection records.
- Raises Shift Incidents, NCRs, and CARs and follows up on actions taken.
- Manages time and attendance of all Q.C staff.
- Interprets Company policies.
- Implements and enforces quality control procedures.
- Interprets specifications, drawings, and job orders to employees and assigns duties.
- Recommends measures to improve quality control methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Analyses and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
- Continually strives to maintain high standards and reduce the occurrence of non-conforming products.
- Keeps Senior Management fully apprised of all quality and production matters.
- Maintains a high standard of housekeeping.
- Assists SHEQ Manager in compiling weekly/monthly quality reports.
- Assists with the compilation of procedures, work instructions, and safe work procedures as related to the production procedure.
- Hold Green Area meetings with all staff
