MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related Foreman position.
Certified Galvanizers Inspector.
National Diploma in Quality Management or related field or Grade 12 /Minimum N3 Mathematics, and English verbal and written communication skills
The ability to read drawings (Mechanical).
Experienced in measuring practices and measuring instrument utilization.
Knowledge of current basic I.R. procedures.
Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Syspro)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE

Supervision and control of all the Quality Control Inspectors
Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and procedures.
Ensure that all inspections are conducted per the Quality Control Plans
Maximizes efficient use of all resources.
Is responsible for the maintenance of all the inspection records.
Raises Shift Incidents, NCRs, and CARs and follows up on actions taken.
Manages time and attendance of all Q.C staff.
Interprets Company policies.
Implements and enforces quality control procedures.
Interprets specifications, drawings, and job orders to employees and assigns duties.
Recommends measures to improve quality control methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Analyses and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
Continually strives to maintain high standards and reduce the occurrence of non-conforming products.
Keeps Senior Management fully apprised of all quality and production matters.
Maintains a high standard of housekeeping.
Assists SHEQ Manager in compiling weekly/monthly quality reports.
Assists with the compilation of procedures, work instructions, and safe work procedures as related to the production procedure.
