MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: Physical inspection of raw and/or profiled material, components / spare parts and assemblies as per drawing by conducting visual inspection and physical measurements Communicate all inspection results to the Quality Supervisor / Manager and any other relevant person Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) according specifications and requirements Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) Assist with documentation, records, internal and supplier inspections/audits as well as recording supplier performance as required by the QMS Compile Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as per the QMS Oversee the calibration and control of all measurement instruments Assist quality assurance division and employees to achieve their required targets Segregate all products and materials that fail inspection by putting it under quarantine Ensure housekeeping in the workplace Adhere to all company policies and procedures Adhere to company Health and Safety Standards and Procedures Perform general tasks that may be required from time to time MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 Basic Quality Control Course ISO 9001 Courses Third Party courses / diplomas will be advantageous 3-5 years as Quality Control Inspector as part of an Engineering or Manufacturing Company Be able to accurately use measuring instruments Be able to read and understand drawings Computer literate and be able to use MS Office Crane / Forklift license will be advantageous Be able to work systematic and accurately Have a fundamental understanding of ISO9001 quality processes and procedures Gearbox knowledge or exposure will be advantageous Must be a team player Excellent verbal and written communication skills Grade 12 Basic Quality Control Course ISO 9001 Courses 3-5 years as Quality Control Inspector as part of an Engineering or Manufacturing Company Be able to accurately use measuring instruments Be able to read and understand drawings Computer literate and be able to use MS Office Crane / Forklift license will be advantageous Gearbox knowledge or exposure will be advantageous
