Knorr-Bremse SA seeks to employ an experienced Quality Control Inspector to provide a reliable, effective and consistent quality control resource to inspect product in support of production, project or warehouse requirements. This task will mainly be relevant to first-off, in process and final inspections areas in Rail and Truck and will include supplier quality audits. 1) The inspection of product produced at Knorr-Bremse SA against standards or specifications as relevant and applicable at the time. 2) The generating of relevant inspection reports to be used in evidence of the status of the product as produced. 3) The proper and correct filing of all documents generated or received. 4) Generating statistical reports relevant to the status of products and forwarding of same to interested parties within KBSA as required. 5) In consultation with the Senior Inspector, generate correspondence to management or customers regarding the quality and performance of products. 6) Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment i.a.w Act 85 of 1993. 7) Adhere to all relevant company rules, regulations, policies, procedures and work instructions as applicable at any given time. 8) To assist in internal QMS and product audits as required and report on same. 9) To do supplier quality audits as and when required. Qualifications: Grade 12 with a trade certificate as an added advantage. City & Guilds / ASQ - CQE/CQT experience. Experience: 1) Production/manufacturing and read engineering and electrical drawings. 2) Use of inspection measuring equipment. 3) Application of statistical control and reporting methods. 4) Report writing and good communicator. 5) Project management. 6) Preferably have done a machining/engineering trade. 7) Working knowledge of ISO 9001 8) Computer literate: Excel, Word, Power Point & SAP. 9) Knowledge of QMS. 10) Basic CMM Programming and operation.
