Job description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This role involves ensuring that the financial position of construction projects is accurately reported and controlled effectively, and that all contractual and commercial matters are properly managed Key Responsibilities: Cost Management: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work schedules. Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly. Manage costs to ensure the project budget is not exceeded. Contract Administration: Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation. Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors. Prepare and analyze costing for tenders. Project Management: Work with the project team to ensure effective cost control. Monitor project progress and manage any risks that arise. Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors. Reporting: Provide accurate, detailed, and timely reports to stakeholders. Prepare regular cost reports and financial statements. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and company standards. Conduct site visits to verify the progress and quality of work. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional accreditation such as MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal guidelines. Proficient in the use of relevant software such as CostX, Blue beam, or similar. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. R Negotiable on Experience
