Reference: CPT004930-CS-1 Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting new challenge? Our client, a leader in fabrication capabilities and innovative manufacturing techniques, is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team. If you have a passion for managing the contractual, commercial, and financial aspects of site construction projects, this is the perfect opportunity for you Job Purpose: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage all aspects of the contractual, commercial, and financial side of site construction projects. You will handle commercial contracts, procurement strategies, and the measuring and costing of construction projects. Your role will encompass a wide range of activities including cost planning, value engineering, feasibility studies, risk analysis, tendering, valuation, dispute resolution, claims management, project management, and cost estimation. Responsibilities: Pre-Contract: Assist with bid documents, bidder lists, and contract award recommendations. Measure and price using contract documents. Prepare Bills of Quantities, preliminaries, contract conditions, and tender documents. Provide inputs for contract negotiations and prepare subcontract documents. Post-Contract: Assist Project Management with commercial aspects and risk assessment. Maintain records of contractual documents and manage bonds. Prepare cash flow schedules and control costs. Advise on variations, claims, and contract requirements. Prepare financial statements, interim payment applications, and final accounts. Subcontract Management: Advise on claims and variations and maintain records. Manage bonds. Resolve financial claims and prepare interim payment certificates. Measure and prepare final accounts. Qualifications: BEng. or B.Sc /B.Sc Hons/M.Sc degree specializing in Quantity Surveying. Proven track record in quantity surveying. Understanding of core business processes and associated technical solutions. Innovative and forward-thinking mindset. Training and exposure to Contract Management such as NEC 3 or equivalent. University degree/diploma in quantity surveying from a recognized institution. Minimum 5 years post-qualification practical experience on large projects, with specific experience in industrial projects. Proven experience in industrial engineering is beneficial.
