Attorneys in Howick, KZN require a Receptionist/Assistant. To carry out secretarial and reception duties in the office Attend to administrative functions i.e.: Typing Dictaphone typing phone calls, client queries, dairy other related secretarial duties. Taking responsibility of running the Howick office, in a professional and confidential manner Answering and screening calls for the Associate and Directors Performing secretarial duties for the relevant attorneys Making appointments for relative Directors when they will be attending Howick office Liaising with the professional's secretary when setting appointments and ensuring the attorney is available Attending to and assisting clients at reception Dictaphone typing of correspondence, conveyancing documents, agreements, wills etc. for the professional staff Attend the Umgeni Municipality to collect any rates certificates for Howick and/or Pietermaritzburg office as required Delivering documents to the Howick Magistrate Attending to switchboard and clients at reception Making tea for clients and the Director present Administrative Assistance to the Associate Ensuring that the cleaners have cleaned the office property and ensuring that the offices and meeting rooms are clean, neat and tidy. Matric Minimum 5 – 10 years working experience in a similar position Secretarial/Reception experience in a legal firm would be advantageous Basic Bookkeeping knowledge Valid Driver's licence (Code 08) Own vehicle Familiarity with the following Software packages: MS Word (average) MR Excel (intermediate) Internet and email LexisConvey AJS Good market related salary Excellent benefits
